CoInnovate Leadership Labs bring together diverse stakeholders with a common interest in making progress on a challenge of shared concern.

Recognizing that today’s complex interdependent global challenges require multiple perspectives to generate new ideas and innovations, participants mutually define the challenge that they wish to address and identify potential allies and sources of resistance in the system that they are working to improve. Participants then apply a collective experimental mindset to undertake interventions that will contribute to concrete progress on the identified challenge.

The Lab is an opportunity for members to practice their purpose as a group, addressing difficult challenges within an organization, in their community, or even larger national or global issues such as climate change, healthcare inequity, homelessness, or racism. Each Lab member commits to work the problem from their own position or in coordination with other members if desired. The group meets over a mutually agreed period to share what they have learned from their respective interventions, to analyze what is working and isn’t, and to receive consultation from fellow group members on potential next steps. Through participation in the Lab, participants experience how collective and coordinated action can accelerate progress on big challenges at a time when it is especially urgent.
